What is Filosofee?
“Filosofee” is a play on words. The name comes from the words “feel”, “philosophy” and “fee”.
Our brand is all about expressing how you feel, how you think and the price we pay for that freedom. The goal was to create a clean, simple but expressive brand that people can relate to.
Diving a little deeper
Filosofee was founded by Alroy Ndhlovu. Alroy Ndhlovu started working the normal 9-5, doing his time for about 10 years. When life happened, he found himself thrown into freelancing.
During this time, he experimented with a lot of ideas trying to make ends meet. He started in photography but eventually found himself engulfed into all things digital media. During that period you can imagine how much he learnt.
Having been in the service industry for about 6 years he felt a pressing need to come up with a product, something physical people could buy but something in line with what he was already doing. Entrepreneurship.
But this is not where Filosofee was born. You see, Filosofee was one of the ideas he had stored in his treasure chest for years and we guess time and placed happened and allowed for Filosofee to manifest.

Brand Philosophy
After a re-awakening and a few tweaks, Alroy decided it was now or never for him to launch the brand. He envisioned a brand first for freelancers and entrepreneurs (who no doubt have a lot to say and express due to their many experiences) but quickly realised that it was important to create a brand we can all relate to based on our shared experiences living in this world.
Our goal is to create products and accessories we all use every day and to give them a voice.
The idea behind the brand is to create products that you can wear and carry with you. Products that are conversation starters and thought provokers. Products that will serve as your bold declaration to the world.
